Swan Draught

Swan Draught is the dominant beer in Western Australia with a loyal following.  The mild lager has a medium bitter flavour with a full body that is quiet and fresh on the palate.  Not as tart as its Emu Bitter counterpart, Emu Bitter is a beer that should be served ice cold to be fully appreciated.

Like most Australian mainstream beers Swan Draught is a friendly beer that does not hit you with complicated flavours.  This makes the beer very smooth to drink and quick to disappear.  The uncomplicated beer that has been around since 1857 is the perfect way to beat the West Australian heat.  4.8% alc/vol

Food For Thought:

If you wish to combine Swan Draught with a restaurant excursion try drinking it at the beginning of the meal with entrees and hors d'oeuvres such as roasted mushrooms, green salads with balsamic, antipasto and light meats. This popular lager however will be best enjoyed when served ice cold on a warm day with a BBQ or a seafood platter.
